About The Spring Street Inn
Historically significant, Spring Street Inn
is an Empire Victorian Inn built in 1858 by one of the
investors in the Fall River Steamship Company as his
residence. Spring Street Inn may have been a stop on the
Underground Railroad.
The Inn is beautifully decorated and furnished with fine
antiques, historic prints of old Newport and fresh floral
arrangements. Innkeepers Patricia Golder and Jack Lang
emphasize hospitality in casually elegant surroundings.

A delicious gourmet "Breakfast-Brunch" is served between
8:30 and 10:30 am, either "a la carte" or buffet,
depending upon season. Daily menus of hot entrees (between
three and five selections) may include your choice of omelets
with a selection of fillings, fresh fruit crepes, Eggs
Benedict, cinnamon-vanilla French toast, or eggs any style.
Enjoy pitchers of fresh orange juice, platters of fresh fruit,
an assortment of cereals, and baskets of muffins with your
entree. In the afternoon, cookies and complimentary iced tea,
cider, and/or lemonade are served in the guest living room and
library.
